Basics of Piecing 101
In this 4-week beginning piecing class, you will learn the quilting skills to be a "confident beginner". You will learn to accurately cut, piece, and press - the basic skills needed for every quilt. This is also a great class if your skills need a tune-up!

Basics of Piecing 102
The quilt you will construct is built on the skills you learned in Beg. 101. You will be introduced to bias cutting and construction, sashing, cornerstones, borders and a super simple way to make the “delectable mountain” border. This is a 4-session class.

Free Motion Quilting
In this class you will learn to free-motion quilt. This allows the "freedom" to quilt in any direction without turning the whole quilt. It is used for stippling and large meandering, and allows the quilter to be creative, curvy, crazy and do all kinds of fun quilting! Even if you have tried this before, you may want to try again. Remember, practice makes perfect!

Hand Quilting
Do you like to do hand work and want to learn the art of hand quilting? Come join Nadine as she teaches you the proper "rocking" motion to get even hand quilting stitches. Back Basting Applique
Have you wanted to try doing some "Hawaiian style" needle-turn applique, but weren't sure how? Back basting is an easy, no pins technique for applique that eliminates the use of freezer paper or the need to hide tracing lines. It also keeps your fabric from shifting out of place. This class will teach you the basics of the technique that can also be adapted to other applique projects. Some experience in needle-turn applique is recommended.

The Mystery of the Substitute Teacher
If you are new to Marti Michell methods and templates, this is a fun place to start. The quilt is constructed using the Set L rotary templates and the blocks are pieced using 10 FQs. 9-Patch Pizzazz
This is the perfect quilt for those large scale prints you bought but now don’t want to cut up! This class will cover all the techniques for making a lap/wall hanging size quilt (approximately 36” x 48” plus borders, if desired). Beware, these quilts are addicting – you can’t make just one. We're teaming up with Marti Michell to bring you a fantastic club in 2012! Marti's tools and templates make even the most complicated patchwork fit together like a dream! Each month will focus on a small project using one of Marti's tools or rotary cutting templates - this is a great way to gain new skills and try techniques that normally might scare you! Our whole staff wants to participate, and we'd love to have you join us. This is a demonstration-based club; no machine or supplies are required to attend.
