The Quilt Asylum was founded in 2000 as a brick and mortar store in McKinney, TX with 300 bolts of fabric. Over the next 17 years, TQA grew into a 6,000 square foot building with over 5,000 bolts of fabric with a strong online presence.
In early 2017, the owner decided to close the physical storefront and offer a carefully curated collection of designer products and unique projects online only, while maintaining TQA's  already established high standards of product quality and customer service.  Then an opportunity presented itself to purchase The Quilt Asylum in mid 2018 and we jumped!  We have taken the same high standards, carefully curated fabrics, added more to it and are moving it all to downtown Van Alstyne, TX.  We have experienced, helpful and friendly staff on board and are excited to RE-OPEN The Quilt Asylum where we hope to continue inspiring and educating quilters around the world!
