You may not like to applique because you haven't found the easy way. Come take a taste of 6 ways to applique to find one you like - back basting, freezer paper on back, freezer paper on front, traditional needle turn, fusible applique and reverse. Learn "innies and outties", curves, straight edges and the basic shapes.
You will be learning base coating, shading, shadowing, and high lighting with colors and textures. After coloring, learn how to heat set and how to preserve color during washing. Next comes a basic embroidery stitch to make the barn pop up from the background. If you like this technique, you can order the full pattern.
This is a wonderful panel of designs already for color and stitching. It stimulates the imagination and at the same time provides an island of calm in the midst of a hussle-bussle world. Some may just need a refresher course. There will be 5 stitches: Stem/Outline, Back Stitch, Chain, Lazy Daisy, and French Knots.
