Saturday, February 11th, Stumped when resizing a block or calculation yardage? Learn the fundamentals for sizing blocks and determining how much fabric to purchase for your project. It is not difficult and you will leave class with a comprehensive worksheet and the knowledge of how to create and customize your quilt. Saturday, February 25th - Quilting skills taught in this class will start at the beginning. You will learn how to handle the proper cutting tools, how to handle the fabrics, gauge your sewing and assemble some beginning quilt blocks. Quilting terminology, correct cutting, accurate piecing and proper pressing skills will help you become a confident beginner. This class would also be great if you need a "tune-up" to get restarted.

Saturday, March 11th - Learn the different techniques for hand applique and tips and tricks to make your hand piecing go more smoothly.

Sunday, March 12, 2023 - Broderie Perse is an applique technique that goes back to the 17th century taking birds and flowers from one piece of fabric and appliqueing them on a separate piece of fabric to create a scene or central design. Australian Karen Styles brings the twist, using modern fabrics and quick and easy English paper piecing, teaching you to design your own motif. Broderie Perse fabric kits will be available to purchase.

Saturday, March 18th - This is a 3 to 4 hour class that you will learn to make a portrait using only 2 fat quarters (1 light and 1 dark fat quarter). There are over 30 silhouette patterns to choose from including celebrities, animals and some flowers. There is an artist in all of us. You just have to find it.

Saturday, April 8th - This class will cover Half Square Triangles (HST), Hour Glass and Flying Geese blocks. You will make ONE block in class and an alternate block to make at home. The goal is to combine with other forms of block making to have a complete sampler quilt at the end of the series.

Saturday, April 15th - Quilt artist, Leo Ransom, will instruct you and teach you the technique of creating a fabric portrait using multiple layers of fabric. Fabrics will varigate from light to dark using 3 to 5 fabrics. So come try your hand at creating a portraiture quilt.

Cost: $ 65.00
April 22nd and 23rd - This is a two day class. Day #1 you will learn how to create a fabric top from your choice of fabric. Day #2 you will construct your tuffet for a finished piece for your home.
