Is your sewing machine tucked away in a closet somewhere or do you have a new machine you'd like to learn about? If so, this is an introductory class to learn all the details. We will identify the parts and what they do. We will discuss how to use them to your benefit and how to adjust for your project. Routine maintenance will also be covered to keep you sewing.

(Beginner's quilting class. This is a series of short classes that cover specific forms of piecing for the beginner.) Discuss fabrics, cutting, pressing and sewing and the easy patterns to start quilting.

This class will cover Half Square Triangles (HST), Hour Glass and Flying Geese blocks. You will make ONE block in class and an alternate block to make at home. The goal is to combine with other forms of block making to have a complete sampler quilt at the end of the series.

Learn the different techniques of foundation paper piecing including string piecing. You will make ONE block in class and an alternate block to make at home. The goal is to combine with other forms of block making to have a complete sampler quilt at the end of the series.

Need help getting over the fear of the "A" word? Alice can help rid you of that fear with this beginner's applique class! This is a technique class, not a project class. You will go home with a folder full of techniques for your future use. A kit will be furnished for your use in class. You will have only a few items to bring. You don't have much to lose, so why not dive into the world of hand applique.

(Beginner's quilting class. This is a series of short classes that cover specific forms of piecing for the beginner.) Afraid of inset seams or that dreaded Y seam? With proper set up and handling, we solve that problem. Learn to cut and sew diamonds. Both techniques make the most beautiful quilt blocks. We'll also make an illusion block and discuss how to give depth to your quilt.
